A Naked Race

So we’ve had naked gnome races and naked night elf races, but last week during Black Temple we thought of something new:  naked dungeon races.  Stick with me here.  So basically the idea stemmed from seeing all those greens and purples dropping and no one putting them to use, because we were level 85.  But I thought what if we did?  The shards are hardly worth it, void crystals sell for practically nothing, so it would be more logical to just use them or sell them.  Yes…use them.

So the idea is that we go into a level 70 dungeon or raid totally naked on our level 85 toons.  No rings, no weapons, no fancy dresses–I mean robes, no shields, no nothing–except undies (I am scared of gnomish nethers), and all you can use to battle your way through is the crap you find.  Those grey items, those greens of the whale.

The first group done with their dungeon, wins!  We figure this would present many challenges for certain classes…like, can a tank hold aggro without any weapon or shield, can they even take the hits?  Without spirit will a healer be able to sustain healing needed?  Spellcasters without gobs of intellect and spellpower weapons will hit for much less, rogues have no dagger, hunters no long-ranged weapon at all…just a pet.  This could present some serious challenges.  It would also have people needing on Pretty Robes of the Whale!

Now, we understand that some pets classes would have a little bit more of an advantage so in order to even the teams we’d have to make sure we had as closely balanced teams as possible.   We’re thinking Karazhan for our race.  I’ll be sure to keep you posted if this goes through.  😀

At 70? So you’d have to have a level 70 alt to participate? Or some of the level 70 dungeons?
